Action Cove serves as an excellent play area adjacent to Main Street in West Newbury, conveniently situated near Newburyport, Amesbury, and Haverhill. In close proximity, you'll find a sizable athletic field where, during the Fall season, youth soccer teams engage in spirited matches. Parking is available on the side adjacent to the athletic field, and there is also a dedicated parking lot right alongside the playground area.
The playground itself offers a spacious and well-structured environment. It includes a designated area tailored for children aged 1 to 5, featuring a sandbox and toy trucks, as well as swings and various slides of varying heights to cater to different age groups. The surroundings are meticulously maintained, exuding a pleasing aesthetic, and there are ample tables and benches for those looking to enjoy snacks or a leisurely lunch.
The wooden play structure at Action Cove is particularly impressive, boasting multiple levels and a variety of engaging activities for children. During our visit on a weekend afternoon, the playground was bustling with activity, accommodating kids of varying ages and keeping them thoroughly entertained.
It's worth noting that the only drawback is the restroom situation, as the available option is a portable toilet (port-a-potty).
