Nestled on Plum Island, the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge is renowned as a top bird-watching destination in Massachusetts and beyond. Established in 1941, this 4,700-acre sanctuary is a haven for over 300 bird species, offering a safe retreat for feeding, resting, and nesting. Operated by the US Fish & Wildlife Service, it remains beautifully preserved.
