One of the finest beaches to the north of Boston, this destination boasts a 5-mile-long protected shoreline. On one side, you'll find pristine stretches of white sand beach, while on the other, expansive salt flats offer prime opportunities for birdwatching. During the summer, it tends to draw large crowds, so arriving early is advisable. However, in the winter, it transforms into a tranquil haven with hardly a soul in sight, making it an ideal spot for a peaceful bike ride, invigorating run, birdwatching escapade, or a leisurely beachside stroll.
